Shah Abbas seized this opportunity to develop trade and economy of Iran. Furthermore, while intensifying competition among trade partners, he adopted the policy of trade centralization in the region whereby he integrated all trade activities in one single port, connected to land, and as a result prevented trade activities to be scattered around other ports. This change exercised more supervision on trade activities. Shah Abbas also adopted, inter alia, the policy of “double containment” whereby Shah granted more concessions and privileges to European traders in order to break up the monopoly and dominance of a single government over the trade activities of the region. The purpose of this study is to examine the strategies and solutions Shah Abbas adopted, while safeguarding national interests, to interact with the European Governments in sea trade as well as to examine the pivotal role of Bandar Abbas. The present study also reviews the performance of Shah Abbas as related in historical texts, documents and travel literatures written by the Europeans, and as it could be inferred from the methods of interactions with the European Governments in the Persian Gulf, fostering competitions among them while safeguarding national interests and the impact on the prosperity of international trade.  }, keywords = {Safavids,Shah Abbas (I),Southern Ports,Europeans,Trade}, title_fa = {سیاست شاه عباس اول در قبال تجارت اروپاییان در بنادر جنوبی ایران (با تأکید بر بندرعباس)}, abstract_fa = {بنادر جنوبی ایران، به‌ ویژه خلیج فارس، در عصر صفوی جایگاه ویژه‌ای در تجارت بین‌الملل داشتند و به همین سبب، مورد توجه دولت‌های اروپایی بودند. شاه عباس از این موقعیت برای توسعة تجاری و اقتصادی ایران بهره‌برداری کرد  و ضمن تشدید رقابت میان شرکای تجاری، به سیاست تمرکزگرایی در تجارت منطقه روی آورد:  با تمرکز فعالیت‌های تجاری در یک بندر و آن هم متصل به خشکی، از پراکندگی تجارت در همة بنادر ایران جلوگیری کرد و بدین گونه، زمینة نظارت بیشتری بر فعالیت‌های تجاری فراهم شد. از دیگر سیاست‌های شاه عباس، مهار دوجانبه بود که با اعطای امتیازات بیشتر به رقبای تجاری اروپایی، می‌کوشید تا تجارت منطقه را از سلطه و انحصار یک دولت خارج کند. هدف از این تحقیق، بررسی راهکارها و راهبردهای شاه عباس در تعامل با دولت‌های اروپایی در زمینة تجارت دریایی، ضمن حفظ مصالح ملی و نیز بررسی نقش اساسی بندر عباس است. در مقالة حاضر با بررسی عملکرد شاه عباس از خلال متون تاریخی، اسناد و سفرنامه‌های اروپاییان، شیوه‌های تعامل با دولت‌های اروپایی در خلیج فارس، نحوة ایجاد رقابت میان آنان، با توجه به اهداف ملی و تأثیر آن در رونق تجارت بین‌الملل بررسی می‌شود.}, keywords_fa = {صفویه,شاه عباس اول,بنادر جنوبی ایران,اروپاییان,تجارت}, url = {https://www.hfrjournal.ir/article_77004.html}, eprint = {https://www.hfrjournal.ir/article_77004_7f3fc2cee5612bdcb69a09f77ec8e811.pdf} }
