The kings of these dynasties, following the steps of their grandfathers, tried to continue the previous relations based on good will and refrain from hostility. However, the issue of Kandahar always shed its shadow on these friendly relations. This region by force or policy was intermittently administered by Iran and India, and the position of Kandahar was of strategic importance for Shah Abbas I , so far so that after the consolidation of power and forcing out the foreign invaders, retaking it became a priority of the Shah. He eventually led a military invasion, returning the city under Iranian control after 30 years. Given the basic status of Kandahar in the Iranian-Indian relations, the purpose of this research is to explore the reasons for importance of the region and how Shah Abbas I retook it. The authors, using the descriptive – analytical method, and by relying on library and archive sources, reached the conclusion that Kandahar’s geographical position and military and economic importance led the Safavid and Gurkani rulers to have a strategic look to the region. Shah Abbas, first, tried to diplomatically retake the city, but after failure, recaptured it by military action, annexing it to the Safavid government.}, keywords = {Iran,Safavids,Kandahar,Indian Gurkanids,Shah Abbas I,Strategic Importance}, title_fa = {اهمیت استراتژیک قندهار و تأثیر آن بر روابط صفویان با گورکانیان هند (دوره سلطنت شاه‌ عباس اول)}, abstract_fa = {مقارن با شکل‌گیری حکومت صفویه در ایران، سلسله گورکانیان در هند تأسیس شد. شاهان این دو سلسله به تأسی از نیاکانشان، سعی در استمرار روابط حسنه و غیرخصمانه داشتند؛ اما مسئله قندهار همواره بر این روابط دوستانه تأثیرگذار بود. اداره این منطقه، به جنگ یا با سیاست، به‌طور متناوب در اختیار ایران و هند قرار داشت و جایگاه قندهار برای شاه ‌عباس صفوی نیز از اهمیت ویژهای برخوردار بود، تا‌ جایی ‌که پس از تثبیت قدرت و بیرون‌راندن مهاجمان خارجی، بازپس‌گیری آن اولویت اصلی شاه بود و سرانجام با حملهای نظامی، آن شهر را پس از سی سال، بار دیگر تحت حاکمیت ایران بازگرداند. نظر به جایگاه اساسی قندهار در روابط ایران و هند، بررسی دلایل اهمیت این منطقه و چگونگی روند بازپسگیری آن توسط شاه ‌عباس اول، موضوع اصلی پژوهش حاضر است. نگارندگان با روش توصیفی- تحلیلی و با استفاده از منابع کتابخانه‌ای به این نتیجه دست یافتند که موقعیت سرزمینی قندهار و اهمیت نظامی و اقتصادی آن موجب گردید که حاکمان صفوی و گورکانی، نگاهی راهبردی به این منطقه داشته باشند. شاه‌ عباس در ابتدا با تلاش دیپلماتیک، سعی در بازپسگیری این شهر داشت؛ اما پس از موفق‌نشدن در این رویه، از طریق حمله نظامی، دوباره آن را به تصرف حکومت صفوی درآورد.}, keywords_fa = {ایران . صفویان . قندهار . گورکانیان هند . شاه‌ عباس اول . اهمیت استراتژیک}, url = {https://www.hfrjournal.ir/article_157640.html}, eprint = {https://www.hfrjournal.ir/article_157640_3bd4120bd15df1d50d55877632d56f36.pdf} }
