To strengthen relations in the present time and to have a clear horizon on the future, understanding the past seems urgent. With a long historical precedent, the Iran/Malaysia relations are yet unknown in the research area, and the examinations show that the historical ties are indicative of points of weakness and strength which provide a vast capacity for strengthening the relations. About the historical relations of the two countries (especially in contemporary history), so far there has been conducted no comprehensive research, and there is scant sources in this regard. This paper tries to probe the Iran/Malaysia relations during the 2^nd Pahlavi era, but it is necessary that we also study the cultural and trade ties before the political relations took shape with the Malay world. Given the status of Malaysia in Iran’s foreign policy , the strong presence of Iranian society in Malaysia in the last two decades as well as close political cooperation in various issues make the necessity of paying attention to the historical ties more visible. <strong>مقاله حاضر، روابط تاریخی ایران و مالزی را در ابعاد مختلف سیاسی، فرهنگی و تجاری بررسی می­نماید.</strong><strong> </strong><strong>برای تحکیم روابط در زمان حاضر و داشتن افقی روشن از آینده،</strong><strong> </strong><strong>شناخت گذشته ضروری به‌نظر می­رسد. با وجود پیشینه تاریخی طولانی، روابط ایران و مالزی هنوز در حوزه پژوهشی ناشناخته مانده است و بررسی‌ها نشان می­دهد مناسبات تاریخی، بیانگر نقاط قوت و اشتراکاتی است که ظرفیت زیادی برای تقویت روابط فراهم می‌نماید. در باره روابط دو کشور (به‌ویژه در دوره معاصر) تاکنون تحقیق جامعی انجام نگرفته و منابع اندکی در</strong><strong> </strong><strong>این زمینه وجود دارد</strong><strong>.</strong><strong> این</strong><strong> </strong><strong>مقاله به‌دنبال واکاوی روابط ایران و مالزی در دوره پهلوی دوم است اما ضرورت دارد پیشینه مناسبات فرهنگی و تجاری که پیش از روابط سیاسی با دنیای مالائی شکل گرفته بود نیز مورد توجه قرار گیرد. </strong><strong>با توجه به جایگاه مالزی در سیاست خارجی ایران، حضور گسترده جامعه ایرانی در مالزی در دو دهه اخیر و همکاری‌های نزدیک سیاسی در </strong><strong>موضوعات مختلف، ضرورت توجه به مناسبات تاریخی را بیشتر نمایان می­کند. </strong> https://www.hfrjournal.ir/article_166741_d36398e357e77cfce0ae030b056a6a81.pdf
