This rare legacy is the fruit of years of joint intellectual efforts by regional communities forged into a synergy to evolve in the form as we know today. Taking stock of the contemporary world challenges and obstacles the current article seeks to investigate the question as to what approach could be used to study the cultural and historical legacies in the ECO region in order to render a fresh outlook on cultural life of the communities present in this intellectual realm? The research method has been that of a conceptual-functional effort to assess the concomitance of historical and cultural constructs in these communities based on juxtaposition of the two forces of continuity and change. The findings suggest that if strategic plans are in place to formulate a cultural diplomacy for the communities in this region, a promising bright future of interaction and cultural excellence will provide a basis for expanding political and economic relations, which in turn, will promote the individual and collective security, stability and development of the nations in this region which ultimately enhances their standing in the world. <br /><strong> </strong> حوزۀ فرهنگی اکو، یکی از گنجینه­های نادر در میراث تاریخی و تمدنی جامعۀ بشری است. این گنجینه حاصل سده­ها کوشش و تفکر مشترک جوامع منطقه بوده که به­صورت هم­افزایانه تکوین و تکامل یافته است. با عنایت به مجموعۀ چالش­ها و موانع فراراه دوستی و همکاری در سپهر سیاسی جهان معاصر، مقالة حاضر، حاصل جست و جو پیرامون این پرسش است که: بر اساس چه رویکردی به میراث مشترک تاریخی و فرهنگی در منطقۀ اکو می­توان افق جدیدی برای زیست فرهنگی جوامع این اقلیم معنوی ترسیم کرد؟ روش و رویکرد ما در تبیین بحث، کوششی مفهومی ـ کارکردی از ملازمت ساختارهای تاریخی و فرهنگی جوامع بر اساس حیات دو نیروی تغییر و تداوم در آنهاست. رهاورد این تتبع حاکی از این نکته است که در صورت برنامه­ریزی راهبردی برای دیپلماسی فرهنگی میان جوامع منطقه، می‌توان دورۀ تاریخی روشنی از تعامل و تعالی فرهنگی را خلق کرد که پشتوانۀ سایر مناسبات سیاسی و اقتصادی باشد و در خدمت امنیت، ثبات و توسعۀ فردی و جمعی کشورهای منطقه قرار گیرد و مآلاً منزلت مشترک آنها را در عرصۀ جهانی ارتقاء دهد. https://www.hfrjournal.ir/article_63334_3c98968aaac7c0ede09937d53f5115e4.pdf
