A watershed moment in Iranian history the Constitutional Movement touched upon and changed many aspects of society, culture and politics in Iran; namely, the Iranian attitude towards political participation and the right to choose their destiny and sensitivity to diplomatic relations with other nations. During 1327-1329 A.H. under the pretext of supplying food and stabilizing the country the Russian and British troops entered Iran, which stirred reaction among Iranians (at the national parliament as the representative of the people) and the press (national media). According to the findings of this article the Iranian shunned emotional and reactionary methods and opted for more rational ways, such as diplomatic measures, in order to raise awareness among other nations about the Russian and British intrusions. Through their efforts they delegitimized the foreign presence in Iran and draw empathy among other nations which led to an embargo on goods of Russian origin and the suspension of Nowruz ceremonies.
