چکیده

مهاجرت ارامنه به ایران از اوایل قرن هفدهم میلادی به تغییرات بسیاری در جامعه مسلمان ایران منجر گردید. در درازمدت، این مهاجران از بنیان، ترکیب تشکیلات اداری و نظامی نخبگان دولت صفوی را تغییر دادند و همچنین در دهه دوم قرن هفدهم میلادی، ارامنه ساکن جلفا مهمترین طبقه بازرگان در کشور بودند. در این میان، هر چند ورود عده‌ای از مبلغان مسیحی به ایران با مخالفت‌هایی از سوی برخی روحانیون شیعه همراه بود، اما به مرور، دین مسیحیت به‌عنوان منبعی برای گفتگوی علما حول مسائل دینی و اعتقادی در ایران قرار گرفت.
تنوع نژادی و زبانی در ایران، پیش‌تر راهی برای انعطافپذیری در تعامل با جهان مهیا کرده بود. از این رو، به بستری برای گفتمان گروه‌های اعتقادی متفاوت مبدل گشت. در این راستا، پژوهش حاضر با رویکرد توصیفی- تحلیلی و با تأکید بر منابع کتابخانه‌ای به واکاوی تأثیر حضور مبلغان مسیحی در ایران پرداخته است. یافته‌های تحقیق نشان می‌دهد که ایرانیان در مقایسه با دیگر سرزمین‌های مسلمان، انعطاف‌پذیری بسیار بیشتری در مقابل گفتمان‌های مخالف نشان داده‌اند و همواره اجازه گفتگو و ارائه استدلال در مورد مسائل دینی در این سرزمین امری پذیرفته شده به‌حساب می‌آمده است؛ آنچه که با کمی تعمیم به جامعه امروزه، هنوز نیز قابل تشخیص است.
